Side Impact Reinforcement
Side Impact ReinforcementRemoval and Installation 1.
With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
2.
NOTE: Vehicle body removed for clarity.
Remove the side impact reinforcement in the following sequence.
1.
Remove the 8 side impact reinforcement nuts.

To install, tighten to 103 Nm (76 lb-ft).
2.
Remove the side impact reinforcement.
3.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
