Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor









Removal and Installation

1. Remove the Air Cleaner (ACL).

2. NOTICE: Do not tamper with the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensing elements located in the airflow meter. Tampering can result in unit failure.

Open the ACL (Air Cleaner).
- Release the air box clamp.

- Separate the inlet side from the outlet side of the ACL (Air Cleaner).






3. Release the latches and remove the Mass Air Flow (MAF) assembly.





4. NOTE: The red clip must be pulled out before disconnecting the electrical connector.

Disconnect the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor electrical connector.






5. Remove the 2 screws and MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor.
- To install, tighten to 2 Nm (18 lb-in).


6. NOTE: The grommet used to seal the ACL (Air Cleaner) housing at the extension harness must be fully seated. Failure to do so will result in unmetered air entering the engine.

NOTE: Use the alignment notch to correctly align the inlet side and the outlet side of the ACL (Air Cleaner).
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
