ISSUE
Some 2012 Edge and MKX vehicles equipped with DEATC, may exhibit a lack of heater performance in either Auto or Manual mode. Typical customer
complaint is that there is cold air blowing in the footwell or out of the registers when heating is selected.
ACTION
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
Reprogram the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) module to the latest calibration using IDS release 79.03 or higher. This new calibration is not included in the VCM 2012.5 DVD. Calibration files may also be obtained at the website.
WARRANTY STATUS: Eligible Under Provisions Of New Vehicle Limited Warranty Coverage Warranty/ESP coverage limits/policies/prior approvals are not altered by a TSB. Warranty/ESP coverage limits are determined by the identified causal part and verified using the OASIS part coverage tool.
