Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Valve - 3.5L, 3.7L
Removal and Installation

WARNING: Always disconnect the battery ground cable at the battery when working on an evaporative emission (EVAP) system or fuel-related component. Highly flammable mixtures are always present and may be ignited. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious personal injury.
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister purge valve electrical connector.
3. Disconnect the vapor tube-to-EVAP (Evaporative Emission) canister purge valve quick connect coupling.
4. Remove the bolts and the canister purge valve. Remove and discard the O-ring seal.
- To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Use a new O-ring seal.
6. Carry out the Evaporative Emission System Leak Test. For additional information, refer to Evaporative Emission System Leak Test Testing and Inspection.
