Toe Link









Removal

NOTICE: Suspension fasteners affect performance of vital components and systems and their failure may result in major service expense. If replacement is necessary install new parts with the same part numbers or equivalent part. Do not use a replacement part of lesser quality or substitute design. Tighten the fasteners to specification during reassembly.

NOTICE: Tighten the suspension bushing fasteners with the weight of the vehicle resting on the wheels and tires or incorrect clamp load and bushing damage may occur.

1. Remove the wheel and tire.

2. Remove and discard the toe link inboard nut and cam bolt and remove the toe link adjuster cam.

3. Remove and discard the toe link outboard bolt and nut and remove the toe link.

Installation

1. NOTE: Do not tighten the toe link outboard bolt and nut at this time.
Position the toe link and loosely install the new toe link outboard bolt and nut.


2. NOTE: Do not tighten the toe link inboard cam bolt and nut at this time.
Position the toe link adjuster cam and loosely install the new toe link inboard bolt and nut.


3. Install the wheel and tire.

4. With the weight of the vehicle on the wheel and tire, tighten the toe link outboard bolt and nut to 175 Nm (129 lb-ft).

5. With the weight of the vehicle on the wheel and tire, tighten the toe link inboard bolt and nut to 200 Nm (148 lb-ft).
