Transaxle Support Insulator

















Removal

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.

2. Remove the ACL (Air Cleaner) and the outlet pipe.

3. Remove the battery and battery tray.

4. NOTICE: Keep the TCM (Transmission Control Module) electrical connector straight when disconnecting it or damage to the connector terminals can occur.

Slide the lock tab up and disconnect the TCM (Transmission Control Module) electrical connector.






5. Disconnect the 3 battery cable pin-type retainers from the TCM (Transmission Control Module) bracket.





6. Remove the TCM (Transmission Control Module) bracket nut, and the TCM (Transmission Control Module) bracket.





7. Remove the cowl panel grille.

8. Install the Engine Support Bar and support the engine and transmission.





9. Remove the transmission support insulator through bolt.





10. Remove the wiring retainer, the 3 transmission support insulator nuts, the bolt and remove the transmission support insulator bracket.





11. Remove the 4 transmission support insulator bolts and remove the transmission support insulator.





Installation

1. Clean the transmission support insulator frame bolts using a wire brush and apply new threadlock to the threads.

2. Position the transmission support insulator in place and install the 4 transmission support insulator bolts.
- Tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).






3. Apply Threadlock and Sealer to the threads and install the transmission support insulator bracket, 3 transmission support insulator nuts, transmission support insulator bolt and the wiring retainer.
1. Tighten to 80 Nm (59 lb-ft).

2. Tighten to 63 Nm (46 lb-ft).






4. Align the transmission support insulator bracket with the transmission support insulator, apply Threadlock and Sealant to the threads and install the transmission support insulator through bolt.
- Tighten to 175 Nm (130 lb-ft).






5. Remove the Engine Support Bar.





6. Install the cowl panel grille.

7. Install the TCM (Transmission Control Module) bracket and the TCM (Transmission Control Module) bracket nut.
- Tighten to 11 Nm (97 lb-in).






8. Connect the 3 battery cable pin-type retainers to the TCM (Transmission Control Module) bracket.





9. Connect the TCM (Transmission Control Module) electrical connector.





10. Install the battery and battery tray.

11. Install the ACL (Air Cleaner) and the outlet pipe.
