Engine Block-Mounted Knock Sensor (KS)









Removal

Cylinder head-mounted Knock Sensor (KS)

1. Disconnect the Knock Sensor (KS) electrical connector.

2. Remove the bolt and the KS (Knock Sensor).

3. Remove the lower intake manifold.

4. Disconnect the KS (Knock Sensor) electrical connector.

5. Remove the bolt and the KS (Knock Sensor).

Installation

Engine block-mounted KS (Knock Sensor)

1. Install the KS (Knock Sensor) and the bolt.
- Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).


2. Connect the KS (Knock Sensor) electrical connector.

3. Install the lower intake manifold.

Cylinder head-mounted KS (Knock Sensor)

4. Install the KS (Knock Sensor) and the bolt.
- Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).


5. Connect the KS (Knock Sensor) electrical connector.
