Seat Backrest Cover - Rear, Crew Cab

Removal and Installation

NOTE: For parts identification and location, refer to Seat - Exploded View, Rear, Crew Cab Seat - Exploded View, Rear, Crew Cab.

1. Remove the seat. For additional information, refer to Seat- Rear, Crew Cab, 40 Percent Seat - Rear, Crew Cab, 40 Percent or Seat- Rear, Crew Cab, 60 Percent Seat - Rear, Crew Cab, 60 Percent.

2. For 60 percent seat, remove the backrest. For additional information, refer to Seat Backrest- Rear, Crew Cab Seat Backrest - Rear, Crew Cab.

NOTE: 60 percent seat has 4 head restraint guides. 40 percent seat 2 head restraint guides.

3. Remove and discard the head restraint guides. For additional information, refer to Head Restraint Guide Sleeve Head Restraint Guide Sleeve.

4. If equipped, remove the armrest. For additional information, refer to Seat Armrest- Rear, Crew Cab Seat Armrest - Rear, Crew Cab.

5. Release the lower J-clip.
- If 40 percent seat equipped with heat, disconnect the cushion heater mat electrical connector.


6. NOTICE: Use care when separating the backrest cover from the hook-and-loop strip or the hook-and-loop strip can be torn from the foam pad.
Partially invert the backrest cover.
- For 60 percent seat, release the center J-clip(s) and armrest cavity retainers, if equipped.


7. Remove all the hog rings attaching the backrest cover to the foam pad.
- If needed, remove the hog rings attaching the foam pad to the backrest frame and disconnect the backrest heater mat electrical connector (if equipped).


8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
