C-Pillar Trim Panel - Crew Cab

Removal and Installation

NOTICE: Left side shown, right side similar.

1. NOTICE: To avoid damage to the scuff plate trim panel, remove any retaining clips from the body and attach them to the scuff plate trim panel before installing.

Remove the rear door opening scuff plate trim panel.
- Lift the door opening scuff plate trim panel upward to release the retaining clips.






2. Fold the rear seat backrests down.

3. Pull out and remove the shoulder safety belt guide cover.

4. NOTICE: Inspect the shoulder safety belt guide and cover for damage. If the shoulder safety belt guide or cover is damaged, install a new shoulder safety belt guide or cover.

Remove the shoulder safety belt guide.
1. Remove the shoulder safety belt guide bolt.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

2. Remove the shoulder safety belt guide.






5. Position the rear door opening weatherstrips aside.

6. Remove the safety belt anchor.
- Remove the safety belt anchor bolt.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

- Remove the safety belt anchor.






7. Remove the lower C-pillar trim panel.
- Route the safety belt and the shoulder safety belt guide through the C-pillar trim panel opening.






8. Remove the upper C-pillar trim panel.





9. NOTICE: To avoid damage to the C-pillar trim panel, remove any retaining clips from the body and attach them to the C-pillar trim panel before installing.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
