With Window One-Touch Up

Glass, Frames and Mechanisms

NOTE: This section only applies to vehicles equipped with one-touch up windows. Vehicles equipped with one-touch up windows can be identified by the presence an AUTO position on the RH front window control switch. For vehicles not equipped with one-touch up windows, REFER to Glass, Frames and Mechanisms - Without Window One-Touch Up.

NOTE: The accessory delay feature will allow power window operation up to 10 minutes after the ignition is off or until a door is opened.

The glass, frames and mechanisms system consists of the following:

- Accessory delay relay

- Body Control Module (BCM)

- Door window glass

- Door window glass run

- Door window regulator and motor

- HVAC module

- Power/manual sliding glass panel (if equipped)

- Power sliding window motor and regulator assembly (if equipped)

- Rear window defrost relay (if equipped)

- Rear window glass assembly

- Window control switch

- Windshield glass

If equipped with power windows, the window control switch:

- will operate the power windows when the ignition switch is in the RUN or ACC position, or the delayed accessory feature is active.

- can be used to manually raise or lower all windows from the LH front window control switch or the individual side window from the corresponding individual door window control switch.

- can manually raise or lower the LH or RH front window when the corresponding front window control switch is pressed/pulled and held in the first detent position.

- can automatically raise or lower the LH or RH front window when the corresponding front window control switch is momentarily pressed/pulled to the second detent position and released.

- has a lock-out feature (Crew Cab only). When the LH front window lock-out switch is in the LOCK position, the rear passenger windows only operate from the LH front window control switch.

Global Open

NOTE: The global open feature may be enabled/disabled via scan tool or in some cases modified by the customer following a procedure listed in the Owner's Literature.

NOTE: If the accessory delay relay is active, the global open feature does not operate.

When a request is received from the RKE (Remote Keyless Entry) transmitter, the BCM (Body Control Module) sends a signal on the global open circuit to both front door window motors to open the windows.

Rear Window Glass

The rear glass:

- is standard tempered safety glass.

- may be equipped with an optional manual sliding glass.

- may be equipped with an optional power sliding glass.

- may be equipped with an optional power sliding glass with defrost.
