Condenser Core




Condenser Core - 6.7L Diesel





Removal and Installation

1. Recover the refrigerant.

2. Drain the engine secondary cooling system. For additional information, refer to Cooling System.

3. Remove the radiator grille.

4. Remove the 2 power steering cooler bolts and position the power steering cooler aside.
- Detach the power steering cooler hose pin-type retainer from the condenser core.

- To install, tighten to 35 Nm (26 lb-ft).






5. Remove the horn assembly.
- Disconnect the horn assembly electrical connector.

- Remove the horn assembly bolt and the horn assembly.

- To install, tighten to 35 Nm (26 lb-ft).






6. Remove the LH radiator air deflector upper and center pin-type retainers and position the air deflector aside.





7. Remove the RH radiator air deflector upper pin-type retainer and position the air deflector aside.





8. Remove the 2 A/C condenser fitting nuts and disconnect the fittings.
- Discard the O-ring seals and gasket seals.

- To install, tighten to 15 Nm (133 lb-in).

9. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the coolant pump-to-radiator hose from the LH side of the radiator.





10. Remove the 2 condenser bolts.
- To install, tighten to 11 Nm (97 lb-in).


11. Remove the condenser core.

12. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Install new O-ring seals and gasket seals.

- Add the correct amount of clean PAG oil to the refrigerant system.


13. NOTICE: Evaluate the cooling system condition before filling the engine cooling system. Failure to follow these instructions can result in damage to the engine.

14. Evacuate, leak test and charge the refrigerant system.
