6.7L - MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP (MIL) ON
DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) P2031, P2032
AND/OR P2033

ISSUE
Some 2011-2012 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L diesel engine may experience a MIL on concern with any or all of the following DTCs P2031, P2032 and/or P2033.
ACTION
Follow service procedure to correct condition.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1. Using the Ford Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) service tool or equivalent scan tool, check all continuous memory diagnostic trouble codes (CMDTCS). Are any or all of the following DTCs present? P2031, P2032, P2033?
a. No - this article does not apply, refer to the Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) manual to diagnose the concern.
b. Yes - replace the exhaust gas temperature (EGI12) sensor. This is the second sensor downstream of the turbo charger. Refer to Workshop Manual, Section 303-14B the exploded view.
