Electronic Locking Differential (ELD) Field Coil









Removal and Installation

1. Remove the differential carrier. For additional information, refer to Differential Case Service and Repair.

2. Remove the LH differential carrier bearing. For additional information, refer to Differential Bearings Differential Bearings.

3. Remove the ELD (Electronic Locking Differential) retaining ring and washer.





4. Remove the ELD (Electronic Locking Differential) coil.





5. Remove the thrust bearing and thrust plate.





6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
