Seat Cushion - Second Row, 40 Percent

Disassembly

WARNING: Use care when the seat back frame is removed and when releasing the recliners from a backrest upright position. The recliners are spring-loaded, which may cause the recliner upper arms to fold with significant speed/force. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

NOTE: For parts identification and location, refer to Seat - Exploded View, Second Row Seat - Exploded View, Second Row.

NOTE: With the seat out of the vehicle and the backrest in the fold-flat position, the inboard latch foot must be in the latched position to pivot the backrest back to the upright position.

1. Remove the seat. For additional information, refer to Seat- Second Row .

2. Remove the seat backrest. For additional information, refer to Seat Backrest- Second Row, 40 Percent Seat Backrest - Second Row, 40 Percent.

3. Open the cushion cover.
1. Release the clip and separate the strut.

2. Separate the J-clips.

3. Separate the hook-and-loop strips.






4. From under the seat, pull the 2 cushion cover retainers out from between the cushion frame and seat track.





5. If equipped, disconnect the cushion heater mat electrical connector.

6. Remove the cushion foam pad and trim cover from the cushion frame.

7. Remove the hog rings and the cushion cover.

8. Separate the electrical connector from the front outboard seat track foot (if equipped), remove the 2 outboard inner cover screws and remove the cover.





9. Remove the 3 screws and separate the outboard outer cover.
- If not equipped with power lumbar, remove the cover.






10. Separate the electrical connector from the front inboard seat track foot (if equipped), remove the 2 inboard inner cover screws and remove the cover.





11. Remove the 3 screws and the inboard outer cover.





12. Release the clip and remove the strut.

13. Remove the manual recline handle.
1. Locate the spring clip between the recline cover and handle.

2. Remove the spring clip and slide the manual recline handle off the shaft.






14. Pull to release the retainers and remove the outboard recliner outer cover.
- Pull the strap through the cover.


15. Remove the 3 outboard recliner inner cover screws.





16. Remove the outboard recliner inner cover.
- Detach and route the wire harness out.






17. Separate the outboard recliner.
1. Separate the cable retainers.

2. Separate the cable ends from the recliner.

3. Remove the 2 recliner bolts.
- To install, tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).






18. Remove the outboard recliner.
1. Remove the rivet, detach the cable and cover.

2. Separate the cable end from the recliner.






19. Pull to release the retainers and remove the inboard recliner outer cover.

20. Separate the inboard recliner.
1. Remove the 3 screws and inboard recliner inner cover.

2. Remove the bolt and safety belt buckle.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

3. Remove the 2 recliner bolts.
- To install, tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).

4. From behind the cable retainer, squeeze the ends together and separate.

5. Separate the cable retainer.

6. Separate the cable end from the recliner.






21. Remove the inboard recliner.
1. Remove the rivet, detach the cable and cover.

2. Separate the cable end from the recliner.






22. NOTE: Note all cable routing for correct installation.

Remove the 2 screws, disconnect the electrical connector, route the cable out and remove the power fold seat motor.






23. Remove the 6 nuts route out the cables and separate the seat track from the cushion frame.





24. NOTE: Note all wire harness routing for correct installation.

Remove the wire harness.


25. To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.
