Seat Track




Seat Track

WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure, REFER to Safety Warnings . Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

Removal

NOTICE: To prevent system failure, carry out the OCS (Occupant Classification System) reset when a front passenger seat cushion is disassembled, a new trim cover is installed or an OCS (Occupant Classification System) service kit is installed. Use a scan tool to carry out the OCS (Occupant Classification System) reset command.

1. All vehicles: Remove the seat backrest. REFER to Seat Backrest .

2. All vehicles: Remove the safety belt buckle switch electrical connector from the connector block and detach the wire harness retainers.

3. All vehicles: Remove the safety belt bolt, route the wire harness and remove the safety belt buckle.

4. All vehicles: Remove the seat position sensor. REFER to Seat Position Sensor .

5. NOTICE: Using excessive force when bending the bracket can damage the OCS (Occupant Classification System) sensor housing.

NOTE: Typical early build OCS (Occupant Classification System) sensor and bracket shown, others similar.

Passenger seat only: For early build, separate the OCS (Occupant Classification System) sensor from the bracket in the following sequence.

1. Disconnect the OCS (Occupant Classification System) sensor electrical connector.

2. Slide an appropriate tool in the slot between the OCS (Occupant Classification System) sensor and bracket.

3. Carefully lift the tool end to bend the bracket tab and slide the OCS (Occupant Classification System) sensor off the bracket.






6. Passenger seat only: For late build.





7. All vehicles.





8. All vehicles: Remove the cushion cover and foam pad from the seat track.

9. NOTE: Typical seat shown, others similar.

Passenger seat only: Detach the front pin-type retainers, lift the bladder and feed the OCS (Occupant Classification System) hose and sensor out from between the seat cushion support wires.





10. All vehicles.





Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

1. Transfer the remaining parts, as needed.
