Disassembly

1. NOTICE: Take care not to damage the differential impulse ring.

Using 205-D064 (D84L-1123-A) , 204-069 (T81P-1104-C) and 205-D014 (D80L-630-3) , remove and discard the differential bearings.





2. Using 300-MASHG501AE , slightly heat the impulse ring. Remove the impulse ring.

3. Remove and discard the differential ring gear bolts. Lightly tap the ring gear to separate it from the differential case.

4. Clean all parts in clean solvent and dry with compressed air.

Assembly

1. Inspect differential parts for damage or wear. Repair or replace as needed.

2. Install the differential ring gear onto the differential case.

3. Install the new differential ring gear bolts.

- Tighten the differential ring gear bolts in the sequence shown.
- Tighten to 85 Nm (63 lb-ft)





4. NOTE: Make sure the differential impulse ring is fully seated and flush on the differential.

Using 300-MASHG501AE , slightly heat the differential impulse ring. Install it onto the differential assembly.

5. NOTICE: Take care not to damage the differential impulse ring.

Using 205-206 (T83T-4221-A) and 205-153 (T80T-4000-W) , install the new differential bearings.
