DESCRIPTION





The ambient air temperature sensor (1) is inserted into inside of the front fascia. The ambient air temperature sensor consists of a molded plastic housing (2) with an integral wire connector receptacle (3) with two terminals. Concealed within the plastic housing as a variable resistor that monitors the temperature of the air outside of the vehicle. Data from the ambient air temperature sensor is used by the heating-A/C system to maintain optimum cabin temperature levels.
