1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Disconnect the vehicle wire harness connector (1) from the rear axle sensor (3) connector receptacle located just forward of the rear axle near the left rear frame rail (2).
4. Remove the nut (5) that secures the ball stud of the link (4) to the lever arm of the sensor.
5. Remove the nut (7) that secures the sensor mounting bracket (6) to the stud on the frame rail.
6. Remove the rear axle sensor and mounting bracket from the vehicle as a unit.
