Park Lock Cable - Removal






REMOVAL










1. Disconnect battery.
2. Move selector lever to position "D".
3. Remove top section of the center section of instrument panel.
4. Remove bottom section of the center section of instrument panel.
5. Disconnect all electrical connectors.
6. Remove the shift lever assembly mounting bolts (1) and lower the shift lever assembly.





7. Disconnect the park lock cable coupling from the shift lever assembly (SLA). Press locking tab together and push coupling against the spring force into the SLA, twist through 90° (right or left) and pull off.










8. Remove the lower steering column shroud.
9. Loosen the park lock cable from the ignition switch.
10. Remove the park lock cable from the ignition switch.
11. Remove the park lock cable from the vehicle.
