Removal






3.0L DIESEL






NOTE: Transmission removed for clarity.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. If equipped, disconnect the auxiliary battery negative cable.
3. Remove the air box assembly.Air Cleaner Body - Removal
4. Remove the engine cover.
5. Remove the turbocharger heat shield.
6. Remove the catalytic converter elbow to turbocharger (3) bolts.
7. Remove the EGR tube at manifold to cylinder head.Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Tube - Removal
8. Raise and support the vehicle.










9. Disconnect the oxygen sensor electrical connector (2) and remove the oxygen sensor (2).
10. Remove the temperature sensor tubing from the catalytic converter (3).
11. Remove the oxygen sensor (4).
12. Remove the catalytic converter bracket bolt (1).










13. Saturate the clamp (2) nuts with heat valve lubricant. Allow 5 minutes for penetration.
14. Remove the catalytic converter (1) to diesel particulate filter clamp (2).
15. Remove the catalytic converter (1) from diesel particulate filter (3).
16. Remove the catalytic converter assembly (1) from the vehicle.
