Harness Test - Cruise Master

1. Ensure transducer is properly grounded and that electrical connector is secure and free from corrosion.
2. Disconnect engage switch connector from main harness connector at base of steering column.
3. Connect ohmmeter between brown/white wire terminal in main harness connector and ground.
4. If resistance is not 42---49 ohms on all except S-10/15, or 29---36 ohms on S-10/15, disconnect electrical connector from transducer hold/engage terminals and connect brown/white wire to ground using a suitable jumper wire.
5. If meter reads 38---42 ohms on all except S-10/15, or 22---24 ohms on S-10/15, harness is satisfactory and transducer solenoid is defective. If readings are not within specifications, harness is defective.
6. Disconnect ohmmeter from brown/white wire terminal and connect meter between white wire terminal in main harness connector and ground. If meter indicates continuity, repair short to ground in white wire.
7. Connect white wire terminal at transducer connector to ground using a suitable jumper wire.
8. If ohmmeter does not indicate continuity, repair open in white wire between transducer and steering column.
