Preliminary Checks

1. Check fluid level and correct if necessary.

2. Make certain engine and transmission are at normal operating temperature.

3. Be sure selector lever moves freely in all positions and that pointer on indicator quadrant is correctly aligned.

4. Check manual linkage and correct if necessary.

5. Check transmission and stator switches and adjust if necessary. (Stator switch is used only with variable pitch stator units.)

6. Road test vehicle, using all selector ranges, noting when faulty operation occurs.
