Inspection

1. Inspect clutch plates for wear, pitting, flaking, scoring and burned areas.

2. Inspect spring and retainer assembly for collapsed coils and distortion.

3. Inspect clutch hubs for spline wear, open lubrication holes, damaged thrust faces and clutch surface wear.

4. Inspect piston for cracks.

5. Inspect seals for cuts, tears and nicks.

6. Inspect forward clutch housing for wear, open lubrication holes, damaged thrust faces and free operation of check ball.
