Torque Converter Clutch Diagnosis

1. Connect tachometer and scan tool to vehicle.

2. Ensure transmission is at operating temperature and drive vehicle at 50- 55 miles per hour with light throttle.

3. Maintaining speed, lightly touch brake pedal and check for release of TCC on scan tool and slight increase of engine RPM on tachometer.

4. Release brake and slowly accelerate, TCC should re-apply and engine RPM should decrease slightly.
