3500 With HD

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove shift control lever and boot.
2. Raise and support vehicle, then disconnect driveshaft from transmission.
3. Disconnect parking brake cable, then support transmission using a jack.
4. Remove transmission rear mount to crossmember mounting nut, then raise transmission from crossmember.
5. Remove crossmember mounting bolts and nuts, then the crossmember.
6. Lower transmission, then disconnect electrical connectors from transmission.
7. Remove transmission to bellhousing mounting bolts, then the transmission from bellhousing.
8. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten bolts and nuts to specifications.
