Circuit Operation - Instrument Panel Dimming

With the Headlamp Switch in the PARK or HEAD position, voltage is supplied to the Panel Dimmer Switch assembly. This voltage goes through the ILLUM 10 Amp Fuse (Fuse 14) to the Instrument Cluster Lamps, Radio, HVAC Control Module, Rear Window Wiper/Washer Switch, Overhead Console and Compass, Auxiliary Heater Switch and Auxiliary A/C Switch Illumination Lamps. Grounds for the lamps are through various paths.

The Headlamp and Panel Dimmer Switch Illumination Lamp are not dimmable. It receives voltage from the GAUGES Fuse, and the ground is supplied from Ground G110. Upon turning the Parklamps ON, this Lamp illuminates at full intensity.
