Manual Linkage







1. Apply parking brake.

2. Loosen screw (242).

3. Place column selector lever in Neutral position.

4. Place transmission in neutral by moving shift lever (A) to the forward position, then back to second detent.

5. Hold rod (240) tightly in swivel (232) and torque screw (242) to 17 ft lbs.

6. Place column selector in Park position and check adjustment. Column selector lever must go into all positions and engine should start in Park and Neutral positions only. Adjust as necessary. With selector lever in Park position, parking pawl should freely engage within rear (reaction) internal gear lugs or output ring gear lugs and prevent vehicle from rolling.

7. Align indicator as necessary.

8. Release parking brake.
