Valve Body Replace






1. Raise and support vehicle.

2. Drain transmission fluid.

3. Remove fluid pan attaching bolts, then the fluid pan and gasket.

4. Remove fluid strainer attaching bolts, then the strainer and gasket.

5. Remove manual detent roller and spring assembly.

6. Disconnect electrical connections at governor pressure switch.

7. Remove solenoid from transfer plate reinforcement.

8. Remove solenoid from solenoid pipes.

9. Remove solenoid pipes from valve body and case.

10. Remove governor pressure switch.

11. Remove transfer plate reinforcement attaching bolts, then the reinforcement.

12. Remove servo cover attaching bolts, then the cover and gasket.

13. Remove valve body attaching bolts, then the valve body and manual link valve, ensuring check balls do not fall from case.

14. Reverse procedure to install, positioning manual valve link as shown in image.
