Piston: Service and Repair

Piston & rod assembly:

Assemble piston to rod and install into cylinder block. Install with depression on top of piston toward outside of engine, Fig. 19. Install connecting rod bearing with tang slots positioned on side opposite camshaft.

Pistons are available in standard sizes and oversize of 0.030 inch. Rings are available in standard sizes and oversize of 0.030 inch.
