Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.
Manuals through 2025 now available!

Our trusted friends have launched a new website named LEMON, which has newer manuals. It also contains all the CHARM manuals.

LEMON is the spiritual successor to CHARM, I recommend you try it!

Refrigerant

The refrigerant system requires refrigerant and oil in the quantities listed below:

Refrigerant-134a
Suburban with Front A/C only 1.02 kg (2.25 lb)
Suburban with Rear Air Conditioning 1.81 kg (4.0 lb)

Polyalkaline Glycol (PAG) Refrigerant Oil
With Front Air Conditioning System 240 ml (8 fl oz)
With Front and Rear Air Conditioning System 330 ml (11 fl oz)

- Overcharging a system may allow liquid Refrigerant-134a to get into the compressor, causing compressor noise and damage. Undercharging will cause insufficient cooling.
