Manifold Pressure/Vacuum Sensor: Service and Repair

MAP Sensor:

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

NOTE: Other than checking for loose hoses and electrical connectors, the only service possible is a unit replacement if the diagnosis shows a faulty Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor.

NOTE: After removing the MAP sensor from the intake manifold, replace the MAP sensor to intake manifold seal.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the electrical connector releasing the locking tab.
3. Remove the MAP sensor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the MAP sensor.
2. Install the electrical connector.
3. Connect the negative battery cable.
