Keyless Entry Transmitter: Service and Repair

Do the following procedure whenever the Remote Keyless Entry Programming Connector is grounded, the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver is replaced, the Transmitter is replaced, or a second Transmitter is added.

1. Jumper the Remote Keyless entry Programming Connector to ground (all power door locks will lock and unlock).
2. Operate transmitter by pressing a single button once (all power door locks will again lock and unlock).
3. To program for a second transmitter, operate the second transmitter by pressing a single button once. In order for programming to be complete, wait for the locks to fully cycle.
4. Disconnect the Remote Keyless Programming Connector Jumper after locks have finished cycling.
5. Verify that the transmitter(s) operate the Side Door Lock Actuators and the Endgate Window Release Actuator.
