Preliminary Checks

Perform these checks as the initial step in diagnosing any cruise control complaint.
1. Check condition of cruise control fuse, labeled Gauges. If seat belt buzzer operates, the fuse is not blown.
2. Check condition of speedometer fuse.
3. Check for proper connection of cruise control connector C5A, located at the convenience center.
4. Check for proper connection and free movement of the cruise control linkage.
5. Check for proper adjustment of the cruise cable.
