Data Link Connector: Description and Operation

A Scan Tool can be connected to the Data Link Connector (DLC). this allows the Scan Tool to communicate with either the Vehicle Control Module (VCM) or the Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (BPMV). System operations can then be monitored for diagnostic purposes.

There is one Data Line access with a Scan Tool. Terminal PPL (1807) Data Line allows the Vehicle Control Module and the Brake Pressure Modulator Valve to communicate with each other and/or a Scan Tool.
