Generator Bracket

Generator Mounting (6.5 Diesel 124 Ampere):

Auxiliary Generator Upper Bracket:

Auxiliary Generator:

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. The generator from the vehicle.
2. The tensioner from the generator bracket.
3. The idler pulley from the generator bracket.
4. The retaining bolts and nuts from the generator bracket.
5. The generator bracket from the engine.
6. The generator brace from the bracket.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. The generator brace to the bracket.
Tighten
^ The brace to the generator bracket mounting bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
2. The generator bracket to the engine.
3. The mounting bolts and nuts to the generator bracket.
Tighten
^ The generator mounting bracket bolts:
- 4.3L, 5.0L and 5.7L to 41 N.m (30 lb ft).
- 7.4L to 88 N.m (49 lb ft).
- 6.5L diesel to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
^ The Generator mounting bracket nuts:
- 4.3L, 5.0L and 5.7L to 41 N.m (30 lb ft).
- 7.4L to 66 N.m (49 lb ft).
- 6.5L diesel to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
4. The idler pulley to the generator bracket.
5. The tensioner to the generator bracket.
6. The generator to the vehicle.
