CAUTION: Refer to "Service Precautions".

Battery Installation (Front):

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. The negative cable from the negative battery terminal.
2. The positive cable from the positive battery terminal.
3. The battery limiter from the vehicle if equipped.
4. The battery hold-down bolt and retainer.
5. The battery from the vehicle.
Inspect
^ The battery for damage, cables and connectors for corrosion or wear, carrier for damage or foreign objects and replace as necessary.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. The battery to the vehicle.
2. The hold-down retainer bolt.
Tighten
^ The hold down retainer bolt to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
3. The positive battery cable to the battery.
Tighten
^ The positive battery cable to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
4. The negative battery cable to the battery.
Tighten
^ The negative battery cable to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
5. The battery limiter from the vehicle if equipped.
