Automatic Transmission Dipstick - Dipstick Tube: Service and Repair

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Air cleaner.
2. Oil level indicator.





3. Nut securing the oil level indicator tube bracket to the transmission stud.
- Raise the vehicle.
4. Oil level indicator tube and seal from the transmission.
- Pull the oil level indicator tube up from the transmission.
5. Seal from the oil level indicator tube.

Clean
- Metal parts using solvent. Do not allow solvent to enter the transmission. Air dry.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. New oil level indicator tube seal into the transmission case.
2. Oil level indicator tube into the seal.
3. Nut securing the oil level indicator tube bracket to the transmission stud.
- Tighten nut securing the oil level indicator tube bracket to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs. ft).
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Air cleaner.
6. Oil level indicator.
