Front Servo Replacement

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Front servo piston, retainer, and the spring.
2. Six rear servo bolts, cover, and the gasket.





Inspect
1. Front servo piston for:
- Porosity or damage.
- Seal and seal ring groove for damage.
2. Piston pin for:
- Wear.
3. Spring for:
- Distortion.
4. Servo bore for:
- Wear or scoring.

Clean
- All components.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. New seal onto the piston.
2. Front servo piston spring and the retainer.
3. Ring, piston pin, and piston.
- Ensure the tapered end of the piston pin contacts the band.
4. Front servo assembly into the case.
