Removal Procedure

1. Turn OFF the ignition switch.
2. Disconnect the wiring connectors at the coil.
3. Remove the coil wire.
4. Remove the studs holding the coil bracket and the coil to the manifold.
5. Remove the coil bracket and the coil.
6. Drill and punch out the two rivets holding the coil to the bracket.
7. Remove the coil from the bracket.

Installation Procedure

1. A replacement coil kit comes with two screws in order to attach the coil to the bracket.
2. Install the coil to the bracket with the two screws.
3. Install the coil and the bracket to the intake manifold with studs.

Tighten
Tighten the ignition coil hold-down studs to 11 Nm (8 lb. ft).

4. Install the coil wire.
5. Install the wiring connectors.
