Heater Control Valve: Service and Repair

Heater Valve Without Auxiliary Heater:

Remove or Disconnect

1. Engine coolant.
2. Hose clamps from the outlet pipe and inlet pipe.
3. Heater inlet pipe and outlet pipe from the bypass valve(s).
4. Bolts retaining valve to the heater assembly.
5. Bypass valve from the heater assembly.

Install or Connect

1. Bypass valve to the heater assembly.
2. Bolts to retain valve to the heater assembly.

Tighten
^ Bolts to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

3. Heater inlet pipe and outlet pipe to the bypass valve(s).
4. Hose clamps.
5. Engine coolant.
^ Check the system for leaks.
