Shift Control Housing Assemble




1. Lubricate the shift lever plungers and the lever spring seat surface of the shift control housing with transmission fluid.
2. Install the shift control lever assembly into the shift control housing.





Important: Do not use a petroleum base or silicon lubricate on the shift control lever seals or boots. If a lubricant is required, use a water base liquid soap.

3. Install the shift control lever shaft boot in the retainer.
4. Install a control lever housing gasket to the housing.
5. Install the shift control lever retainer.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

6. Install the shift control lever retainer bolts.

Tighten the retainer bolts to 20 N.m (14 lb ft).




7. Install the control lever boot.




8. Install the shift control lever shaft seal.
