Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement

Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LLV - 2.9L, LLR - 3.7L)

Tools Required

J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers

Removal Procedure

1. Drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vac N Fill) (Service and Repair).




2. Using J 38185 reposition the outlet radiator hose clamp away from the thermostat housing (1).
3. Remove the outlet radiator hose from the thermostat.
4. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).




5. Using J 38185 reposition the outlet radiator hose clamp away from the radiator.
6. Remove the outlet radiator hose (1) from the radiator.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the outlet radiator hose (1) to the radiator.
2. Using J 38185 reposition the outlet radiator hose clamp to the radiator.
3. Lower the vehicle.




4. Install the outlet radiator hose to the thermostat (1).
5. Using J 38185 reposition the outlet radiator hose clamp to the thermostat housing.
6. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vac N Fill) (Service and Repair).
