Vehicle Speed Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair) .




2. Disconnect the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) electrical connector (2).




3. Remove the VSS with O-ring seal.

Installation Procedure





Notice: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice (Component Fastener Tightening Notice) .

1. Install the VSS with O-ring seal.

Tighten the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).




2. Connect the VSS electrical connector (2).
3. Lower the vehicle.
