Hood Hinge Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the front fender. Refer to Front Fender Replacement (Service and Repair).




3. Using a grease pencil or other suitable marking device, mark the location of the hinges to the body.
4. Remove the bolts that retain the hinges.
5. Remove the hinges from the body.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the hinges to the body as previously marked.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the bolts that retain the hinges to the body and tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).
3. Install the front fender. Refer to Front Fender Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Install the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement (Service and Repair).
