Backup Lamp Applique Replacement (Acadia)

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the liftgate interior trim panel.

2. Disconnect the backup lamp electrical connector.

3. Remove the screw (1) securing the body rear mount bracket (2) to the backup lamp applique.

4. Remove the bracket.




5. Remove the backup lamp applique nuts (1).




6. Pull the backup lamp applique (2) from the filler panel outer liftgate.

7. Remove the backup lamp seal (2).

Installation Procedure




1. Position the backup lamp seal (2) to the backup lamp applique (2).

2. Insert the backup lamp applique into in the filler panel outer liftgate.





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

3. Install the nuts (1).




4. Position the body rear mount (2) onto the backup lamp applique.

5. Install the screws (1).

6. Connect the backup lamp electrical connector.

7. Install the interior liftgate trim panel.
