Brake Pedal Assy: Adjustments

1. Ensure pedal is fully returned by pedal return spring, then measure brake pedal height, Fig. 3.
2. If measurement does not meet specifications, perform adjustment as follows:
a. Loosen stop light switch and the locknut on pushrod.
b. Adjust pushrod until brake pedal extends approximately 6.07 inches from floorboard.
c. Position tip of stoplamp switch to rest lightly on pedal arm rubber stop.
d. Carefully rotate stoplamp switch until freeplay between pedal arm and pushrod is eliminated from brake pedal.
e. Tighten locknut.
