Compressor Shaft Seal: Testing and Inspection

Shaft seal assembly should not be reused. Always use a new shaft seal kit when reassembling the compressor. Be extremely careful to ensure that the face of the shaft to which the shaft seal is to be installed is not scratched or damaged in any way. Make sure the seal seat and shaft seal are free of dirt which could damage the shaft seal surface.
