Fluid - M/T: Service and Repair

PROCEDURE
Check the fluid level only when the engine is off, the vehicle is level and the transaxle is cool enough to rest your fingers on the transaxle case.

Remove speedometer driven gear assembly on the driver's side of the case, above the drive axle shaft. Fluid should be between the "L" and the "H" marks on the speedometer gear bushing. If necessary add fluid to bring the level up to the "L" mark. Reinstall the speedometer driven gear assembly, making sure the gear is fully seated.
