BVSV CHECK

NOTE: For rough operation check, the BVSV need not be removed from intake manifold. It can be checked by cooling and warming up engine to obtain test conditions as in Steps 2 and 3 below. (For this check, other steps are not applicable.)

1. Remove vacuum hoses and BVSV from intake manifold.

2. While keeping BVSV cool, below 55°C (131°F), blow nozzle "3." Air should not come out of nozzle "4."

3. While keeping BVSV warm, above 65°C (149°F), in hot water, blow nozzle "3." Air should come out of nozzle "4."

4. Install BVSV in intake manifold.

5. Reconnect vacuum hoses.
