Variable Induction Control Valve: Service and Repair


1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then ignition coil wires.
2. Remove common chamber as described in COMMON CHAMBER/INTAKE MANIFOLD.
3. Remove two oil cooler pipe clip nuts from studs located under induction control valve.
4. Remove fuel feed pipe and return fuel hose, then two fuel rail retaining bolts.
5. Remove two fuel injector harness bracket retaining bolts, then the fuel injector harness and fuel rail with fuel injectors attached from injection control valve assembly.
6. Disconnect VSV harness connector from induction control valve.
7. Remove seven bolts and two nuts from induction control valve assembly, then the induction control assembly.
8. Reverse procedures to install, torquing induction control valve retaining bolts to 17 ft. lbs.
